Video Poker Machines
15 June 2008Video poker is a hugely popular casino game that evolved from five-card draw poker. It is called video poker machines because it is played on a video console with a computer in it, although video poker machines actually look a lot like traditional slot machines.
A typically video poker begins with the player betting one credit or higher. In previous years, this would require inserting money into the machine, although more recent video poker machines use barcoded tickets that come with a certain credit value. The player then presses the deal button and he or she is dealt 5 cards. After that, the game proceeds just as it would in real poker.
